Villa MaLiNa was created by a Balinese–German family with the idea of building a place where guests can experience Bali in a relaxed, authentic and family-friendly way. Our background combines local Balinese culture with European hospitality standards. This combination inspired us to design Villa MaLiNa as a quiet retreat away from mass tourism, while still offering comfort, safety and a welcoming atmosphere for families and travelers who want to explore North Bali.
The villa was completed in 2020 and has since welcomed guests from all over the world who appreciate nature, culture and a slower pace of travel. Villa MaLiNa is not a hotel, but a small private accommodation designed to feel like a home away from home.
One of the founders has also documented his experiences with Balinese Hinduism and local culture in the book The Gods of Bali , which offers deeper insights into Balinese traditions and spiritual life.
